Fantastic tarot! Unlike so many decks available today – which look similar in appearance – the Antique Anatomy offers a completely different experience. The artist collaged art sourced from vintage illustrations of anatomy, medical, and botanical works to create readable and intuitive arcana. Spend the time to read through the accompanying book to understand how and why the creator chose color selections for the flowers to complement each suit. Details include other fun correspondences to enhance readings. Check out Claire Goodchild’s Arcana of Astrology as a companion deck – as well as her outstanding Indie decks like the Oracle of Oddities and the Memento Mori combination oracle and Lenormand.

The Antique Anatomy deck shuffles well and is sturdy enough to withstand regular usage. The minor expense for such a unique tarot is hard to beat. Since it’s already gone out of stock twice, I’ll be purchasing a backup for the future as this has become my primary deck for reading.

An honest review;
First I wanted to give it three stars because of the thinner card stock. But upon working with the deck and feeling it`s individual magic, I cannot help but give it five full stars despite my first feeling upon touching them. The artwork and printwork is SUBLIME and the book... Oh the book. Filled with tarot knowledge that no other book has started to even touch. Colours, Numerology and astrology are all a part of it(and then I haven`t even started about how beautiful it is designed..). I also love how the card explanation is written from a shadow work perspective. Which is to me the essence of tarot! The card backs are all slightly different colours and washed off textures which give it an aged look. Claire is scoring points with me here! I never found decks that spoke to me in the ways that hers do. I feel honoured to have been able to support this brilliant artist and I cannot wait for the work that she will come to present in the future. Keep slaying Claire.!
