The JVC GZ-MG505 'DEMO' eliminates the need to carry tapes, discs or any media at all. You can record up to seven hours of DVD movie-quality video, or as much as 37.5 hours in Eco mode. This is the equivalent of 22 single sided DVD camcorder discs (8 cm/20-minute discs).

In addition to full resolution 16:9 (1173 x 660 x3 effective pixels) and 4:3 DVD movie quality video with advanced color rendition, a 3-CCD imaging device uses pixel-shift technology to deliver 5-megapixel quality. The superior image sensor enables shooting of high-resolution JPEG photos of up to 2560 x 1920 pixels, and best of all the GZ-MG505 barely weighs more than a pound (510 grams) including the battery and lens cap.

The GZ-MG505 features a 2.7-inch widescreen 16:9 LCD that accurately displays videos while they are being shot, as well as during playback. A microphone input and accessory shoe provide flexibility to capture sound and attach lighting, and with multiple interfaces, high speed 12x USB 2.0 data transfer, and supplied software for both Macintosh and Windows, it's easy to view and share all those wonderful memories.

Event Selection Remote Access
In addition to accessing video clips by thumbnail image or date, JVC made it even easier to access clips on your camcorder with the Event Selection option. Simply pre-assign while shooting, or even assign later, a category such as "birthday" or "graduation", and later call up the event type to bring up all events associated with it.
The included remote allows you to connect your camcorder to a TV and access the content like a DVD deck.
Megabrid Engine and 3D Noise Reduction
JVC's Megabrid engine uses one type of image processing for video, and another for stills. The result is richer color, better detail and less noise for all your images.
3D noise reduction is frame-based. It analyzes the entire picture at once to improve the signal-to-noise ratio by 2dB. It dramatically improves noise in low-light conditions.
Gravity Sensor
A gravity sensor system automatically senses sudden acceleration, such as a falling motion, and turns off the power to protect the hard disk.
No Computer Needed
Not only can you edit and delete scenes on your camcorder, the GZ-MG505US has a built-in DVD burner control allowing it to be directly connected to the CU-VD10 Share Station JVC DVD burner.
